The Altimeter is a smart tracking device designed for measuring altitude. It is an ideal app for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy activities such as hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. With its high precision, you can easily check altitude, elevation, and location coordinates both online and offline.
This altimeter app utilizes the following methods to measure altitude:
- GPS satellite triangulation - works without an internet connection
- Barometer pressure sensor (if available in your device) - provides highly accurate data; calibration takes place when an internet connection is available to improve accuracy
- Online network location services (WiFi and others) - requires an internet connection
You have the option to use each sensor separately or together.
The app includes the following features:
- Accurate measurement of altitude, with indication in meters or feet
- Recording of lowest and highest altitudes
- Smart mini compass
- Full GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude)
- Current location name and state
- Measurement results displayed in a chart
- Ability to pause and record measurement results at any time
- Invert background color (black and white)
- Option to share summit top altitude pictures with friends or export them for safekeeping
All features of the app are provided free of charge. The advertisements can be removed by purchasing the "no ads" option.
